| Trailers: The Right Trailer For You - All Models
Available In Australia & New Zealand
Deciding On The Right Trailer
Dunbier Marine manufactures an extensive range of trailers with
many models to choose from. When making your choice, you should be
sure that your boat, motor and trailer are matched to suit your
individual needs and the requirements of the boat manufacturer. Your
authorised Dunbier dealer will assist you in this process.
For example, most aluminium boats need to be fitted to trailers
with keel roller support. In this range Dunbier offers the Loader
Series, Centreline Series, Rollamatic Series and the Sports Series.
Fibreglass boats can be fitted to full multi roller trailers,
such as the Supa Rolla Series, the Wide Track Series and the
universal Rollamatic Series. It is important to discuss your
individual needs and requirements to suit their hull designs.
Be assured that Dunbier is ready to support you at every stage of
your trailer selection, set up and operation. Dunbier customer
support is available in all major cities and states. Dunbier is the
only trailer manufacturer that offers you national and international
support through our carefully selected authorised dealer network.
Our global network includes qualified marine dealers in even the
most remote locations.
Trailer Capabilities & Braking Requirements
When making your selection on a new trailer or a complete
package, it is important to note the maximum weight capacity of the
trailer. This information is contained on the ID plate fitted by
Dunbier to the trailer. The nominated weight capacity includes the
trailer. You should allow for marine gear and approximately 1 kg for
every litre of fuel. If you overload the trailer, problems may occur
such as blown tyres and bent axles. It's just not worth it. To avoid
problems, upgrade your wheelbase or change to a tandem axle
arrangement.
Brakes or no brakes? The law varies in different countries but in
Australia brakes are required on one axle for boat, motor, trailer
combinations over 750kg and under 2,000kgs. Over 2,000kg, a
Hydrastar Breakaway Braking system is required and calipers to be
fitted to all wheels. In New Zealand brakes are not legally required
on boat trailers under 2000kg but are recommended by Dunbier over
1000kgs. Hydrastar Breakaway Breaks are not legally required until
2500kg in New Zealand. For more information contact the Dunbier
dealer in your state or email Dunbier at:
